Preparation and Characterization of the N-Carboxymethyl Chitosan |

N-Carboxymethyl Chitosans(N-CMCh) were prepared for complex with cationic polymers as a polyehtylenimine, histidine with amine groups(-NH2). The characterizations of the N-CMCh were investigated by 1H-NMR, 13H-NMR, DEPT, HMQC, DSC, FT-IR. Degree of substitution (DS, 95%) of N-CMCh was determined by 1H-NMR. And then possibility of application for the gene carrier confirmed using gel retardation assay. |
