Effect of Melting Index on Properties of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) Heterogeneous Cation Exchange Membrane |

Heterogeneous ion exchange membrane was prepared with Ethylene Vinyl acetate (EVA) and ion exchange resin. The effect of melting index on properties of the heterogeneous membrane was investigated. Ion exchange resin was pulverized by airjet mill and the size ranged under 50μm. Two-roll mill was used to prepare the heterogeneous membrane. Various content ion exchange resin ground in air jet mill and EVA were used to define the effect of ion exchange resin content on the properties of the prepared membrane. Molphology of the membrane was measured by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and water uptake, ion exchange capacity. Electrical resistance was observed by LCR meter and tensilte strength and elongation were measured usnig UTM. |
