Cancer Treatment using Microneedle Array containing Antigen and Immunomodulatory |
초록 |
A Microneedle (MN) is a micro-sized needle with a height of 10-2000 µm, which can penetrate to skin tissue directly. In recent years, various types of MNs have been applied to deliver anticancer drugs, genes, or proteins. Among them, dissolving MNs are widely studied for targeting cancer cells. The use of soluble MN not only improves the release of the drug but also reduces the first-pass effect on the liver. Imidazoquinoline is used as an antiviral and antiallergic immune-modulator in a way to regulate the immune response. In this study, we develop amphiphilic triblock copolymer-based nano-micelle generating dissolving MNs in situ. Here, ovalbumin (OVA) and resiquimod (R848) were loaded into the NMC generating MNs to inhibit tumor growth. Penetration of MNs containing tumor model antigen (OVA) and adjuvant (R848) to the skin of EG7-OVA tumor-injected mice, induced a significant level of antigen-specific humoral and cellular immunity, resulting in significant antitumor activity. |
