Thermally conductive films have attracted tremendous attention recently because of their heat dissipation performance in highly integrated electronic devices such as high power laser, high brightness light-emitting diode, and solar cells. Films that have extremely high in-plane thermal conductivity and high specific heat were prepared by alternately stacking alumina and graphene with spin-assisted layer-by-layer method. By making electrostatic combination between negatively charged graphene and positively charged alumina particles, multilayered structure that alumina particles were filled in horizontally stacked graphene layers was designed. As a result, by minimizing adhesive polymer that deteriorates thermal conductivity of film, we successfully fabricated spin-assisted layer-by-layer films having outstanding thermal properties for efficient accommodation and dissipation of heat from local heat source. |
