Recovery of Rare Metal using Flow Through Continuous Deionization system |
초록 |
This study aims to recover rare metals such as lithium and indium. Flow through continuous deionization system (FT-CDI) which is chemical free process was designed to recover the metals. Commercial bipolar membrane (BP-1) and cation exchange membrane (CMX) were used to separate chambers. Lithium manganese oxide (LMO) and VSB-5 were used as absorbents. Effect of pH, voltage and flow rate on desorption rate was investigated for the system efficiency. The number of bipolar membrane was set as a variable which affects pH and desorption rate. The desorption rate of FT-CDI process was higher than that of the chemical process at the same pH. |
