Nowadays, the environmentally renewable sources for energy conversion and storage remain an important issue. Marine biomass-derived carbon materials have also drawn increasing scientific interest in sustainable energy storage due to their low-cost and raw-material abundance, high conductivity, and rational electrochemical performance. In this study, marine biomass was successfully extracted from Undaria pinnatifida green algae of marine biomass. The carbonized marine biomass/metal salt showed advantageous features required for outstanding electrochemical properties such as high surface area and electrical conductivity. Therefore, this study is expected to provide promising directions for high-power, eco-friendly, and renewable energy storage devices. |
