제목 Encapsulation of Quantum dots with Mixture PEG-PCDA and PCDA-Herceptin conjugates for Targeted Cancer Imaging
초록 Polymer based nanoparticles are now widely using for drug delivery and target therapy. We modified the surface of QDs in solid dispersion method by PEG-PCDA & PCDA-Herceptin conjugates to make it water soluble & target specific. Upon UV-irradiation, the core of QDs in micelles was further stabilized by intra-micelles cross-linking between neighboring PCDA moieties. The QDs micelles were spherical with diameters around 130nm. Herceptin is a humanized IgG monoclonal antibody which targets the epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2). In this study we successfully make a conjugates with highly fluorescent non-toxic QDs (CdSe/ZnS). HER-2 positive expressed breast cancer cell SK-BR3 shows brighter image than HER-2 negative expressed breast cancer cell MDA-MB231 & KB cell (non containing HER-2 receptor) due to having herceptin with this conjugate.
