제목 Effect of Pore Size on Hydraulic Propertiy of Nonwoven Fabrics for Embedded Structure Application
초록 Liquid permeability of nonwoven fabrics is used to represent their hydraulic properties such as the flow rate and fluid velocity through pore by the Darcy’s law. To predict permeability, many theoretical models have been suggested but it is difficult to make accurate prediction because of pore shape, tortuosity of fluid flow path, etc. In this study, liquid permeability was predicted based on the modified Kozeny-Carman equation by incorporating the effective porosity derived through the effective basis length per unit area that was defined by Lifshutz. The effective basis length is related to the mean flow pore size. Needle-punched and spunbonded nonwovens of various weights per unit area were used water permeability test. The prediction results was more accurate than others model.
