제목 Cytotoxicity and cellular uptake of different elemental nanodomains decorated silica nanoparticles in mammalian cells
초록 Silica nanoparticles (SiO2) with six different elemental nanodomains (MnO2, Fe2O3, CuO, ZnO, CeO2 and SeO2) were fabricated via sol-gel method to accurately assess the element-dependent cytotoxicity. The size, shape and nanodomain content of nanodomain-decorated SiO2 nanoparticles (ND-SiO2 NPs) were uniform, which made it possible to conduct a comparative study of the element-dependent nanotoxicity. The cellular uptake, mitochondrial dysfunction and cell death mechanism were investigated toward different mammalian cells.
