제목 | Synthesis and characterizations of NixFey nanoporous as electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction |
초록 | Oxygen evolution reaction (OER), an important reaction involved in rechargeable batteries and water splitting, has drawn massive attention for clean energy generation, conversion, and efficient storage technologies during the last decades. However, noble metal-based highly active electrocatalysts for OER have been employed for water splitting, whereas their excessive cost and lethargic kinetics impede their usage. Bimetallic nanoparticles (NPs) have appeared as an essential class of catalysts suggesting higher catalytic efficiencies. Nickel/Iron (NiFe)-based compounds have been known as active OER catalysts by enormous commercial interest owing to their interesting mechanical, electrical, and corrosion-resistant properties. Among the researchers, surge interest has been seen for years in developing advanced NiFe-based materials for better activity and stability. NiFe-based composites have shown to be promising electrocatalysts for alkaline OER, and plentiful efforts have been devoted in the development of cost-effective and advanced NiFe-based nanostructures.
