제목 | Dry reforming of methane over metal oxides-coated hydrotalcite NiMgAl2O4 |
초록 | The dry reforming of methane (DRM) reaction is a very promising reaction to generate valuable syngas using CH4 and CO2 as reactants, which have the greatest effect on global warming. However, the DRM reaction has not yet been commercialized because the catalyst is severely deactivated due to coke deposition on the catalyst surface and sintering of the active site during the reaction. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a catalyst that exhibits high activity even with a small amount of catalyst at a high temperature with hire resistant to sintering and coke deposition. In this study, the hydrotalcite NiMgAl2O4 was coated with CeO2, ZrO2, SiO2, and Al2O3 metal oxides, which showed higher resistance to sintering and coke deposition due to the stronger metal-support interaction (SMSI) between hydrotalcite and over-coated layers, especially on the Al2O3 metal oxide-coated hydrotalcite.
