Ordered microporous films were self-assembled from the poly(cyclohexene carbonate) (PCHC). Fabrication of highly regular honeycomb-patterned films by breath figure method is made from a quartz substrate for removing PCHC by sintering. The honeycomb pattern is formed by solvent evaporation under the high humidity, and their pore size is tunable by controlling the conditions, such as air flow rate, type of solvent, polymer concentration and casting the substrate. In addition, the humidity, temperature and thickness of casting polymer solution exhibit great importance in the formation of the uniform honeycomb structure on surface. Obtained polymer film with honeycomb structure is supported by optical microscope, scanning electron microscope and atomic force microscope measurements. |
