Graphite is the most used commercial anode material for lithium ion battery (LIB). However, graphite exhibited a relatively low capacity and rate performance, which cannot meet the demanding application in electric vehicles (EV). Therefore, extensive research have been carried out to substitute graphite with new materials in further improved electrochemical performance in LIBs. In our research was successfully developed a high discharge capacity (380 mAh/g) and cost effective-anode material using petroleum residue. To meet demands in EV and storage system, petroleum based-anode is still necessary to improve the discharge capacity and rate performance. In this study, we try to introduce the fluorine with high electronegativity on the surface of petroleum based-anode. |
