Preparation and UV-triggered self-assembly behavior of aqueous droplets containing poly(NIPAAm-co-SPO) random copolymer |
초록 |
Spironaphthoxazine (SPO) is one of the well–known photochromic compounds that offer a range of potential applications and show excellent light–fatigue resistance. Therefore they are expected to be more reliable and durable photochromically controlled systems such as drug delivery, sensing, and actuation. UV-responsive random copolymer of poly(NIPAAm-co-SPO) was synthesized by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization and their self-assembly behavior in the aqueous droplets was examined under UV irradiation. In this work, the roles of the copolymer and additives (photo-initiator and stabilizer) in photochromic isomerization and corresponding phase separation will be discussed. |
