제목 | Invention of colorful smart fluid system responsive to electric field |
초록 | Herein, new type of colorful electrorheological (ER) fluid system are invented. Conventional ER fluids are mostly colored with white,brown, or transparent according to the color of dispersed material. Hence, it was hard task to select ER fluids with appropriate shear stress without measurement. To resolve such inconvenience, ER fluids with various colors are formulated by pearl pigments with various colors. The colors of pearl pigments are simply controlled by changing the thickness of TiO2 layers. With the increasing TiO2 thickness, the color of ER fluids change in order of white,yellow, red, violet, blue, and green. Also, ER performance of each colored ER fluids are different owing to the varying composition of TiO2. As a result, it is able to select appropriate ER fluids for specific application without measuring the performance with E field application. |
