Cancer is a extremely heterogeneous disease at multiple levels. One of insistent tumor hall marks is aerobic and anaerobic glycolysis, which acidifies tumor microenvironment. This also supports the acidification of a tumor on purpose by glucose administration. This presentation highlights a polymeric nanoparticles technology, based on poly(L-histidine), polysulfonamide and their block copolymers, to take advantages of acidic tumor microenvironment as well as the acidity in subcellular compartments of cells to challenge tumor heterogeneity and multidrug resistance. |
