제목 Drug Release Behavioural Study of Olmesartan-Loaded  POX/PLGA Blend Microsphere
초록 Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist which has been used for the treatment of high blood pressure. For initial release and sustained release, microspheres were prepared by O/W solvent evaporation methods with various blending ratio of polyoxalate and poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid). This study investigates the release behavior according to the blending ratio of POX and PLGA. Morphological and Physiochemical properties of microspheres were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR). The release behavior of olmesartan was investigated for 27 days in vitro by HPLC. The results showed that the drug release behavior and encapsulation efficiency (EE) and size of olmesartan loaded microsphere can be controlled by various blending ratio of POX and PLGA.
