Effects of Te6+ substitution on the quality factor(Qf) of CaMo1-xTexO4 (0.01≤ x ≤ 0.07) ceramics were investigated as a function of sintering temperature from 800℃ to 900℃. Microwave dielectric properties of the specimens were strongly dependent on the sintering temperature and Te6+ content of CaMo1-xTexO4. For the specimens sintered at lower temperature than 900℃ and/or with higher Te6+ content(x) of x=0.05, the quality factor(Qf) could not be measured due to the lower density and/or the formation of unknown phase. For the specimens sintered at 900-950℃ for 2h, a single phase with scheelite structure was observed through the entire range of compositions. With an increase of Te6+ content, the Qf value of specimens was increased up to x=0.03 and then decreased due to the lower relative density than 90%. With the increase of Te6+ content, the dielectric constants(K) increased slightly, while the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency(TCF) were not changed remarkably. The specimens of CaMo0.97Te0.03O4 sintered at 950℃ for 2h showed good microwave dielectric properties (Qf = 185,400GHz, K = 10.72, TCF = -40.56ppm/℃). |
