Microwave dielectric properties of Mg(Ti0.95B0.05)O3 (B=Ti, Zr, Sn) / Polystyrene (PS) composites were investigated as a function of Mg(Ti0.95B0.05)O3 (B=Ti, Zr, Sn) volume fraction from 0.1 to 0.5. Composites of Mg(Ti0.95B0.05)O3 (B=Ti, Zr, Sn) filler dispersed in PS matrix were prepared by extrusion method and hot-molding technique. Mg(Ti0.95B0.05)O3 (B=Ti, Zr, Sn) were heat-treated at 1400 - 1450℃ for 4h. With an increase of Mg(Ti0.95B0.05)O3 (B=Ti, Zr, Sn) content, the apparent density of the composites was increased, while the relative density was decreased due to the increase of porosity, which induced the decrease of quality factor (Qf) of the composites. The dielectric constant (K) of composites was dependent on the crystallite size of the composites. Mg(Ti0.95Sn0.05)O3 / PS composites showed maximum Qf and minimum K at microwave frequencies. |
