Fluorine-18 labeled aryl fluorides are widely used to prepare 18F radiolabeling synthesis for the development of 18F-labeled radiotracers. Especially 18F-labeled fluorobenzaldehyde (FBA) is useful for the preparation of positron emission tomography (PET) radiopharmaceutical. In this study, we synthesized 2-[18F]fluorobenzaledehyde (2-[18F]FBA) from 2-formyl-N,N,N-trimethylbenzenaminium trifluoromethanesulfonate by using microreactor. Microfluidic radio-synthesis can be successfully accomplished to synthesize aryl fluorides in good yields. Formation of 2-[18F]FBA was confirmed by radio-TLC and the desired product was purified on a silica Sep-Pak® plus cartridge. |
