For the development of shape memory polymer network (SMPN) with outstandingthermal conductivity, a novel reactive mesogen with tetrathiafulvalene (RM-TTF)core, flexible chain and polymerizable group is synthesized. The thermal,optical, and structural analyses of RM-TTF is performed using severalexperiments. The fabrication of SMPN achieves easily at high temperaturewithout any catalyst or initiators. SMPN not only has high shape memoryproperties (fixing ratio of 99.42% and recovery ratio of 99.98%), but alsoexhibits outstanding thermal conductivity of 1.12 W/mK. The correlation betweenshape recovery speed and thermal conductivity is demonstrated using IR cameraand SMPN prepared with different thickness. The applicability of RM-TTF SMPN isconfirmed through the fabrication of thermoactuator.
