Fabrication and characterization of a Nafion/PTFE-reinforced integral composite membrane for effectively suppressing vanadium permeation in redox flow battery |
초록 |
PTFE-reinforced composite membrane was successfully fabricated by sandwich method for vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB). The base layer, which is composed of silica supperted free radical monomer. The special properties and donnan exclusion effect of silica containing free radicals can greatly decrease the vanadium ion permeability and improve the selectivity of proton conductivity. The VRFB assembled with the composite membrane exhibited highly improved cell parameters and strikingly long cycling stability compared with commercial membrane. With the protection of porous PTFE substrate, the pore-filling reinforced integral composite membrane based on VRFB ran for 500 cycles with relatively low capacity decline. |
