제목 In-situ Generation of Activators via Monomer Addition (GAMA) ATRP of MMA using Half-metallocene Ruthenium(III) Catalyst
초록 In-situ Generation of Activators via Monomer Addition (GAMA) ATRP was first reported by us using Iron(III) and Cu(II) complexes. As the extending study of this exploring research, the Ruthenium(III) catalysts were designed and applied into the GAMA ATRP systems of MMA. These half metallocene Ruthenium complexes were conveniently prepared in-situ and a systematic study of phosphorus ligands coordinating systems was carried out during the polymerization process. In studies of their ATRP behavior, most of these systems were well controlled with a linear increase in the molecular weight (Mn) vs. conversion in agreement with the theoretical Mn, and low molecular weight distributions were observed throughout the reactions. The controlled nature of the polymerization was confirmed by the homopolymerization and the block copolymerization.
