제목 | Plasma–assisted wet absorption of odorous VOCs |
초록 | Odorous gases are emitted from agricultural and industrial activities, such as animal farms, rendering plants. Conventional process for removal odorous gases is wet absorption process such as a wet scrubber. However, among odorous gases, odorous VOCs are difficult to remove in wet absorption process because it shows low removal efficiency to its low water solubility. In this study, plasma chemical process was applied to enhance removal efficiency of odorous VOCs in wet absorption. Because plasma chemical processes are highly effective in enhancement chemical reaction such as oxidation, molecular dissociation by producing free radicals. A plasma chemical process can decompose odorous VOCs and increase solubility of odorous VOCs by partial oxidation. In this work, removal of ethyl acrylate (EA) from air is carried out by Plasma–assisted wet absorption system. The removal performance of EA in Plasma–assisted wet absorption was measured at 400 ppm of EA in the continuous flow system. |
