제목 Facile fluorescent labeling of a polyacrylamide-based hydrogel film via radical initiation enables selective and reversible detection of Al3+
초록 Hydrogels are 3-D network materials that can absorb large quantities of water. In particular, stimuli-responsive hydrogels have attracted attention because of their promising application. In this study, we prepared stimuli-responsive hydrogel film with rhodamine-based probe containing secondary amine that initiates radical polymerization of acrylamide. The hydrogel film is transparent and stretchable (>5 times their initial length) under tensile tension. The rhodamine probe acts as not only reaction promoter for polymerization but also flurogenic probe for Al3+. Thus, the film can selectively, sensitively and reversibly detect Al3+ in aqueous media. When sensing, a significant enhancement in fluorescence at 560 nm was observed in response to Al3+ concentration. Furthermore, the fluorescence emission was turned off when exposed to EDTA solution, which facilitate reversible response of film after re-exposure to Al3+.
