제목 Mechanical properties of polycarbonate/silica nano-composite films
초록   Thin films are widely used in foldable and flexible devices. The mechanical properties of thin films play an important role in these devices. However, it is still have difficulty in measuring the mechanical properties of thin films with nanoscales. The uni-axial tensile tester, established by Alfred J. Crosby, draw the attention because it can measure the tensile properties of thin film directly. We improved the instrument with the optical displacement sensor to detect the cantilever displacement sensitively. The silica nanoparticles/polycarbonate composite thin film was prepared. The tensile properties of composite films was measured by the instrument. Then the mechanical properties of thin films was compared with the results measured from the nano-indentation.
