UV-curable polymer films are being used in various industries such as adhesives, coatings, and microelectronics due to their rapid cure, solvent-free, and low cost. In this study, poly (tetramethylene glycol) (PTMG) based- and fluorinated imide based- urethane diacrylate were synthesized in isobornyl acrylate (IBOA) as a monomer diluent instead of using the conventional organic solvent. The optical, thermal, and mechanical properties of UV-cured films were observed by varying the content of fluorinated imide urethane diacrylate. In particular, the effect of fluorinated imide groups on the properties of UV-curable films was evaluated. UV-curable materials containing fluorinated imide groups are expected to be applicable as antifouling coatings. |
