제목 Impact of Molecular Packing Modulated by Novel Hybrid Sidechains on Charge Transport in Polymer Semiconductor Thin Films
초록 Rational design of solubilizing sidechains in polymer semiconductors has recently attracted tremendous interest because of its capability to simultaneously induce high electrical performance and better mechanical softness of thin films. In this circumstance, exact understanding of thermally activated charge transport in terms of sidechains is absolutely required. Herein, we demonstrate impact of a siloxane-terminated hybrid side-chain in an isoindigo-based polymer semiconductor on temperature-dependent charge transport in organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) and molecular scale investigation about its origin. At low temperature regime, hybrid system suggested by us and reference system with alkyl sidechains showed different activation energy as 7meV and 12meV, respectively, which can be explained by the highly ordered molecular packing of polymer with hybrid sidechains even under low temperature regime.
