UV cured epoxy acrylate-MWNT nanocomposites |

Epoxy acrylate/multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNT) nanocomposites were prepared by conventional radical UV curing. Mechanical, thermal and electrical properties of the nanocomposites were investigated by dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and 4-point probe technique. The nanocomposites with small amounts of the MWNT (0.3phr) exhibited an enhancement of modulus, thermal stability and possessed surface resistivity of 2.63 x 108Ω. These results indicated that the nanocomposites are potentially applicable for antistatic coating materials. The cure behavior of this nanocomposite was examined by means of real time IR and photo-DSC. |
