Characterization and Application of Chitosanoligosaccharide According to the Molecular Weight |

In this study, we fractionated chitosan, has a narrow distribution of molecular weight, by ultrafiltration method. The molecular weight and distribution of molecular weight were confirmed by GPC MALLS. The physicochemical properties of fractionized chitosan were investigated by 1H NMR, FT-IR, DSC, and TGA. Furthermore, we have applied fractionized chitosan to the harmful algae. The algicidal effect was investigated chlorophyll a and microcystin in cyanobacterial cells using HPLC and UV-vis spectrophotometer.
