제목 | Adsorptive removal of heavy metal ions (HMIs) by MIL-101(Cr)-TBA |
초록 | MIL-101(Cr) MOF was post-synthetically modified with tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine (TBA). In a diverse ion (mixture of Cu2+, Pb2+, Hg2+ and Cd2+ ions) batch adsorption experiment, which was carried out with an initial concentration of 500 ppb, the MIL-101(Cr) -TBA showed 99% removal of Hg2+ ions. It is nearly 82.7% more than the pristine MIL-101(16.3%). The adsorption capacity of Hg2+ ions obtained under these conditions was 71 and 430.7 mg/g for MIL-101(Cr) and MIL-101(Cr)-TBA,respectively. The complexation reaction of Hg2+ ions with imidazole moieties in TBA may be the prime cause for Hg2+ ions adsorption. The investigation of parameters affecting the diverse HMIs removal efficiency such as adsorbent dosage, contact time, initial concentration and effect of pH is under progress. |
