제목 Investigation of Ethylene and Styrene Copolymerization Catalyzed by Titanium(IV) Dinuclear Constrained Geometry Catalyst and Organoborane System
초록 In this study, a new polymethylene–bridge dinuclear constrained geometry catalyst [Me2Si(Ind)(NtBu)TiMe2]2[(CH2)12], has been synthesized, and structure of this complex has been characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectra. The ethylene and styrene copolymerization properties of the complex have been studied by using various organoboranes [Ph3C+B-(C6F5)4 B1, Ph3C+(C6F5)3B-C6F4B-(C6F5)3C+Ph3 B2, B(C6F5)3 B3 ] as cocatalysts. The experiments displayed that the polymerization activity of the dinuclear complex increased in the order of B1>B3>B2. According to the activity correlated with the monomer ratio, for all the catalysts systems, the polymerization activity decreased with the [styrene]/[ethylene] ratio increased. And this complex which was initiated by organoboranes showed higher polymerization activity than the [Me2Si(Ind)(NtBu)TiCl2]2[(CH2)12]–MAO system. The compositions as well as sequences of the copolymers were studied by 1H and 13C NMR.
