제목 Effects of lead-ion deposited TiO2 electrode on the photovoltaic performance of dye-sensitized solar cells
초록 TiO2 film formed on F-doped tin oxide (FTO) glass was soaked in an aqueous Pb(NO3)2 solution for 15 min to produce Pb(NO3)2-TiO2/FTO electrode, and the resulting electrode was applied to dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The open-circuit voltage of DSSC with the Pb(NO3)2-TiO2/FTO electrode was improved to 746 mV from that (714 mV) of solar cell with pristine TiO2/FTO electrode. On the other hand, the open-circuit voltage of DSSC with NH4NO3-TiO2/FTO electrode was recorded to be 716 mV. It was revealed that the lead ions adsorbed on TiO2 surface led to an increase in dye-loading amounts due to a electrostatic interaction between lead cations and carboxylate anions (–COO−) of the dyes, and thus a reduction in interfacial charge recombination. The reduced charge recombination can induce an enhancement in the open-circuit voltage of DSSCs.​
