제목 Wax Colloidosome-Templated Fabrication of Janus Nanoparticles for Colloidal Surfactants
초록  Emulsion stability is one of the key issues that limit the versatile usage of emulsion technologies. While a variety of surfactants capable of stabilizing emulsions have been explored, destabilization is typically observed over time. In this work, we prepare Janus silica nanoparticles with two distinctive physiochemical properties by utilizing mono-layered wax colloidosomes as templates. We systematically study the effect of silica particles/wax mass ratio as well as the concentration of cationic surfactant, didodecyldimethylammonium bromide (DDAB) on the monolayer formation of silica nanoparticles at the wax-water interface to achieve robust production of Janus particles. Moreover, we demonstrate that hydrophilic and fluorophilic modification on each side of the Janus particle enables the particles to strongly adsorb at the water-fluorocarbon oil interface, serving as colloidal surfactants with enhanced W/O emulsion stability compared to typical surfactants.
