제목 Colorimetric and fluorometric chemosensor using polymer gel containing fluorophores for glucose detection
초록 Glucose detection is important in such fields as medical diagnosis, food analysis and environmental monitoring. Especially, glucose detection technology has been developed in the management of diabetes for a long time. There are a variety of methods for glucose detection such as enzymatic method and invasive measurement. Enzymatic method is mainly used changes of color and fluorescence. In this study, we synthesized polymer gel including fluorophores with acrylamide and N-isopropyl acrylamide. Fluorophores are well-known for pH-responsive properties that they show drastic change. D-glucose generates H2O2 when it is oxidized to D-glucono-δ-lactone by glucose oxidase. We utilized proton which is generated by H2O2. This proton affects fluorescence and color changes of fluorophores. Thus, we can detect glucose with the polymer gel as synthesized.
