Self-Assembly into the Fmmm structure in PS-b-PEO thin films |

Self assembly of block copolymer thin film has been successfully used in fabrication of nanoscale templates. Structure of the block copolymer thin film can be complicated due to the film thickness constraints and interfacial interactions. We used the diblock copolymer PS-b-PEO(23k-5k). Portion of each polymers appears that can form the BCC sphere structure. We observed the unexpected Fmmm structure by using thermal annealing instead of solvent annealing. Tapping-mode AFM, GI-SAXS and other ways were employed to characterize the ordered structure of the PS-b-PEO diblock copolymer thin film. |
