A thermogel system undergoes a sol-to-gel transition when temperature increases. The system has been suggested as tissue engineering. In this work, galactosylated polypeptide thermogel system can induce the hepatogenic differentiation of the TMSCs. Hepatogenic biomarkers involving hepatocyte nuclear factor 4α (HNF4α), albumin (ALB), glucose 6-phosphtase (G6P), and asialoglycoprotein receptor 1 (ASGR1) are checked for both the mRNA level and the protein level in the thermogel. Hepatic functions including ALB secretion, urea production, indocyanin green uptake are also comfirmed in the thermogel compared to control groups. Through this research, the hepatogenic differentiation of the TMSCs in vitro were investigated by bioactive thermogel systems. It can be promising for tissue engineering tools to create a proper environment that induces the desired tissue formation. |
