polymer-permeating grain boundary method for highly efficient perovskite solar cell |

The existence of considerable defects in the grain boundaries still restricts obtaining high performance perovskite solar cell. In this work, we present a simple and effective polymer permeating method for passivating defect sites in the grain boundaries of PeSC. By applying permeating method for fabricating perovskite active layer, we have achieved an infiltration of p-type hole transporting polymer materials (HTMs) with selective hole transport into grain boundaries, which leads to reduced leakage current, suppressed nonradiative recombination loss and efficient hole extraction. The PeSC fabricated by permeating method demonstrates remarkable enhancement in device performance with higher short-circuit current, open-circuit voltage and fill factor compared to conventional spin-coating (SC) device. In addition, passivating hydrophilic grain boundary with hydrophobic HTM improves a moisture stability of the device. |
