제목 | Water to gas molar ratio as essential consideration for hydrate-based gas separation |
초록 | Fuel gas (CO2 + H2) is an industrial gas produced by IGCC power plants, and the separation technology to separate CO2 from this gas mixture has been attracted enormous attention. Among various methods, hydrate-based gas separation (HBGS) has been regarded as an economical and environmental-friendly option than other candidates. For HBGS, optimizing thermodynamic condition has crucial importance for adjusting process efficiency. In this study, transmutative hydrate phase equilibria with or without promoter via water to gas ratio (W/G ratio) was studied. Furthermore, to evaluate the practical effect of W/G ratio on HBGS’s performance, hydrate formation kinetics was obtained under various conditions. Accordingly, the optimized W/G ratio condition to increase gas uptake and separation efficiency was discussed. |
