Conventional chemical looping combustion(CLC) has used Ni, Co, etc. as oxygen transfer particles. However, the price of these metals is relatively high, and efforts have been made to use low-priced metals such as Mn, Fe, and Cu. Therefore, in this study, the use of ilmenite containing Fe, which contains Ti and can be used as a support, was used. To form a stable structure, Fe2TiO5 structure was formed by adding Redmud which can provide Fe. However, the performance of the particles was not so high, so that CuO was separately added to the extent that aggregation of the particles was not formed. Physicochemical properties of the particles were confirmed by XRD, XPS, H2-TPR, CH4 and CO-TPD. SEM and TEM were used to confirm the surface characteristics. In addition, to confirm the structural characteristics between the reactions, the characteristics of the particles were also checked by analyzing the XRD structure before and after the reaction. |
