제목 ​Interfacial Chemistry in Anode-Free Lithium Metal Batteries by Heteroatomic Conjugated Structure of Ag-PEDOT wetting agent
초록 Anode-free lithium metal battery has increased attention due to its high energy density and low processing cost. However, challenges such as its unstable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI), low Coulombic efficiency, and poor cycling stability hinder the practical implementation of anode-free lithium metal batteries. In this study, we designed an Ag-PEDOT wetting agent on the surface of Cu current collect, which showed the synergetic effect of the low nucleation energy barrier and the LiF-rich SEI formation. The π-conjugated polymer surface was partially fluorinated in the concentrated electrolyte environment, so the fluorinated surface induced the LiF-rich SEI layer. Additionally, when silver has applied to the PEDOT chain, it makes the PEDOT conformation change, increasing the LiF ratio on the PEDOT surface and the charge transfer. Therefore, a wetting agent is a promising strategy to address the interfacial challenges in anode-free lithium metal batteries.
