제목 “Helicity Inversion” due to Micelle Formation in Chiral Poly(2-vinyl pyridine)-b-Poly(n-hexyl isocyanate)
초록 Polyisocyanates is one of the most studied polymers for helicity induction. Herein, we have synthesized optically active poly(2-vinyl pyridine)-b-poly(n-hexyl isocyanate) (P2VP-b-PHIC) containing chiral terminal residue. P2VP-b-PHIC forms micelle in tetrahydrofuran (THF)-water mixture. P2VP-b-PHIC have right handed P-helical conformation in THF; however, they had exhibited left handed M-helical conformation in THF-water (80/20 (v/v)) mixture. This P to M transition (helicity inversion) was accompanied with red-shift in circular dichroism (CD) spectra, which clearly proved the formation of an aggregated structure.
