제목 Design of pH-Responsive Upconverting Luminescence Nanocrystals
초록 Lanthanide-based upconverting nanocrystals have attracted much attention for the applications in biomedical imaging, optical sensors, and spectrum converters for photovoltaics. Here, we represent synthesis of pH-responsive upconverting luminescence nanocrystals by modification of pH-responsive dye. Highly uniform sodium gadolinium fluoride (NaGdF4) upconverting nanocrystals (NCs) are synthesized via heating up synthesis. We study the near-IR to visible two-photon upconversion of NaGdF4 NCs doped with lanthanide elements. The surface modification of NaGdF4 NCs with pH-responsive organic dyes enables their upconversion luminescence properties to be tailored depending on the pH of solution.
