The organic luminescent material easily loses its luminescence once it is exposed to moisture, and the highly reactive cathode with low work function will be easily corroded by moisture and oxygen. To solve this problem, and edge sealing approach using a glass or metal lid attached by adhesives of ultra violet or heat cured epoxy resins have been utilized extensively to protect OLEDs from oxygen and water vapor. However, these seals are still brittle and weak adhesion and, thus, have limited application to OLEDs. This study introduced flexible epoxy system that controlled to protect oxygen and moisture. Also, the study analyzes flexible epoxy system with different passivation materials, CaO. As a conventional material, CaO acts as barrier to oxygen and water vapor, and is commonly applied on bleach and sanitizer for livestock. This study aims to develop the moisture permeability prevent technology for the adhesive used at the sealing part of film perimeter, to support the industry. |
