Highly dispersed xNi/yCZA catalysts for ethanol steam reforming: the influence of metal-support interactions on catalytic performance |
초록 |
xNi/yCeZrO-Al2O3 catalysts for ethanol steam reforming were successfully prepared with different loading amounts of Ni and CeZrO. Within the optimal ratios among the Ni/CZ/Al components, nickel could possess excellent physical properties and maintain the 4-7nm particle size and large specific surface areas even at high Ni loading, resulting in effectively increasing Ni dispersion and enhancing metal-support interaction. With strong CZ crystalline structure (40CZA), oxygen vacancy in the CZ structure was increased and basicity of the catalyst was enhanced by the strong Ni-CZ interaction by which loaded Ni was additionally incorporated into the CZ lattice structure. Consequently, xNi/40CZA shows superior ESR activity with respect to the xNi/20CZA. In addition, the selectivity of the desired compounds (H2 and CO2) was very high, especially at higher temperature (750oC) the selectivity of H2 reached 100% over Ni-based catalysts. Irrespective of the temperatures, 10Ni/20CZA exhibited the highest H2 yield among the xNi/20CZA catalysts whereas the H2 yields for xNi/40CZA were proportional to the Ni contents. |
