제목 Nanoparticles with sulfated polysaccharidesto enhance oral absorption of turmeric extract
초록 Turmeric extract (TE) is a well-known bioactive substance with severalbeneficial advantages such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-cancer​, andantibacterial. However, these have poor oral absorption rate and bio-stability. we fabricate encapsulation of TE in nanoparticle with sulfatedpolysaccharides (NSP) that can increase bioavailability of TE. NSP has highlyhydrophilicity and exposed sulfate groups on its surface. Therefore, it canincrease oral absorption by absorption mechanism of sulfate receptor in thesmall intestine. The high viscosity by the sulfate groups increases the contentof TE and bio-stability. In this study, NSP showed superior antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects through DPPH assay and western blot. Invitro,the permeability test confirmed that NSP had higher small intestine absorptionthan other comparative groups. In conclusion, wepropose that NSP can enhance oral bioavailability of TE as well as allsubstances with low solubility and stability.
