The Anisometric Hydrogels of Photopolymerized Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) and Drug Release Behavior of Temperature response |

Poly(N-isopropykacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) formed interpenetrating network (IPN) hydrogels with polyacrylamide (PAAm) or poly in the preparation of anisometric particles by Ultra Violet (UV) irradiation. The PNIPAAm-based hydrogels were prepared by using N,N’-methylenebisacrylamide of various concentrations as crosslinkers. 2-Hydroxy-1-[4-(hydroxyethoxy)-phenyl]-2-methyl-1-propanone (Irgacure2959) was used as a water soluble initiator. A freeze drying step was inserted into the two photocrosslinking steps of anisometric particles of IPN in order to photocrosslink PAAm in pre-crosslinked PNIPAAm hydrogels phases. Water soluble dyes were infiltrated into the resultant IPN hydrogels as a model active pharmaceutical ingredient. The swelling ratio of PNIPAAm/PAAm hydrogels was examined with loaded model drugs at various temperatures. |
