The omniphobic surfaces which has the properties of both hydrophobicity and oleophobicity have been studied for decades. A surface with re-entrant structures is one of the omniphobic surfaces. However, these re-entrant structures are difficult to apply in real life because the structures are easily collapsed by external physical stimuli. Here, we displayed a method for obtaining a highly durable new re-entrant structure, that is, a hyperbola structure is fabricated by capillary wrapping around the micro-pillars. We optimized the geometrical change of the micro-pillar structures and the thickness of the spin-coated photocurable material by changing various conditions and confirmed that it showed higher durability against shear stress than the existing re-entrant structure. |
