The development of efficient and economical Pt-free electrocatalysts is great significant for the electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Especially, the metal-nitrogen doped carbon(M-N-C) electrocatalysts show good performance in ORR. However, M-N-C electrocatalysts made by conventional method have low active site density due to metal aggregation. Therefore, atomically dispersed M-N-C electrocatalysts have been recently reported to maximize the active site density. In this study, we designed and synthesized atomically dispersed CoFe-NC@CNT electrocatalysts with improved stability and high catalytic activity for ORR by combining spray pyrolysis, MOF conversion, and carbonization. Spray pyrolysis has advantages of preparing hollow spheres with well-dispersed components, which is an ideal structure for synthesizing atomically dispersed M-N-C electrocatalysts. The synthesized hollow CoFe-NC@CNT catalysts were analyzed by BET, XRD, FE-SEM and electrochemical analysis system. |
