Fabrication of Poly(Urea-Formaldehyde) Self-Healing MicrocapsulesContaining PDMS/Pt and Cross-Linker for Self-Healing Process |
초록 |
This study presents the microencapsulation of poly (dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS), Platinum (Pt) catalyst, and cross-linker for self-healing process. Self-healing microcapsules embedded materials possess excellent healing efficiency in response to damage in host material. When the physical damage is applied to host material and microcapsules are broken, PDMS and Pt catalyst can meet and Pt-catalyzed hydrosilylation of PDMS proceed, so the self-healing process starts. In our previous work, the stability of microcapsules strengthened during powederization by two individual methods; size control and post-addition of shell component. In this study, the mechanical and heat stability of microcapsules could more strengthen by combining two individual method simultaneously. Furthermore, these microcapsules were applied to polyurethane (PU) resin and their self-healing efficiency in response to damage was successfully demonstrated. |
